By accessing or using the LevelUp For Hacker News application ("the App"), published by Hemant Chaudhary, you ("you" or "User") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). sudofish.com is a website fully owned by Hemant Chaudhary. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the App.

2. User Conduct

You agree to use the App responsibly and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. There is no tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. You further agree not to:

  • Use the App for any illegal or unauthorized purpose.
  • Violate the terms of service of Hacker News. Your use of the App to interact with Hacker News is subject to Hacker News's own terms and policies.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the App or its systems.
  • Interfere with or disrupt the operation of the App.
  • Use the App to transmit any viruses, worms, or other malicious code.
  • Engage in any activity that could harm the App, Hemant Chaudhary, or other users.
  • Use the App in a manner that exceeds reasonable usage.
  • Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble any portion of the app.

3. Hacker News Interaction

The App allows you to interact with the Hacker News platform. You acknowledge that:

  • Your use of Hacker News is governed by Hacker News's terms of service.
  • Hemant Chaudhary is not affiliated with Hacker News and is not responsible for the content or availability of Hacker News.
  • Hemant Chaudhary does not store your Hacker News credentials on the App's servers.

4. Content moderation and child safety

You agree to not use the app for sharing or engaging with content or behaviour promoting CSAE or CSAM.

  • Please report such content to Hacker News using the "Report" functionality in the app.
  • You may reach out to Hacker News directly via email at [email protected].
  • You may reach out the app developer via email at [email protected].

5. Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Hemant Chaudhary and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6. AI-Generated Summaries and In-App Purchases

  • The App provides AI-generated summaries of articles using OpenAI. These summaries are for informational purposes only.
  • You receive a limited number of free AI summaries upon initial login.
  • Additional summaries can be purchased through in-app purchases.
  • All in-app purchases are processed by Apple (iOS) or Google (Android).
  • Refunds are subject to the policies of Apple and Google.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. HEMANT CHAUDHARY DOES NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR SECURE.

8. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, HEMANT CHAUDHARY SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.

9. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hemant Chaudhary from any claims arising out of your use of the App or violation of these Terms.

10. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the laws of India.

11. Termination

Hemant Chaudhary may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately for any reason.

12. Changes to Terms

Hemant Chaudhary reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time.
